Diving Deep: melodies, emotions & jelodic music

The music industry seems to be plagued by a concerning lack of originality, with many artists producing formulaic, cookie-cutter tracks that lack the depth and artistry of past eras. However, Alpha & Omega Records is bucking this trend by discovering talented new voices, the latest of which is JELODIC.

Jelodic first caught the label's attention with the release of his singles "Better Days" and "Rain Blue" which showcased his exceptional talent and proved he is unlike any other artist in his genre - a refreshing antidote to the homogeneity dominating much of today's R&B and hip-hop. . In our latest interview, we dive deep into Jelodic's captivating melodies, emotive songwriting, and unique musical vision.

Q: Can you tell us about your artistry and what you like most about creating music?

A: I find comfort in melodies that stir emotions inside me like a symphony. Lyrics become my confidant as I start too create my stories or messages. Music serves as my escape from daily chaos and reminds me of life's beauty and complexity. It's a universal language that unites us through our shared love for rhythm. The very most thing I like about playing music is the emotion I bring too it.

Q:How do you approach songwriting? Describe your creative process when writing new music & how would you describe your musical style and how has it evolved over time?

A: I’ve honestly haven’t really sad down too actually write songs. I usually just get in the recording booth play the beat and go from there. I listen too it first, try to hear the melody and I tend too follow it mostly on choruses. Then when I hit the verse and bridge, I switch it up. I’m really into the sad melodic type of beats. With bright or dark melodies,  a dark overtone and hard hitting percussion. That’s when I really feel alive and lay down some hits. I flip off script sometime just for some fun but when it time to get down to business, it’s sad vibes all the way!

Q:  Are there any specific themes or messages you want to convey through your music?

A: The messages that I give in my music is just honestly telling guys everyday struggles that we all go through. I try to related too my fans and let them know that they are not alone.

Q: Collaboration Who would you most like to collaborate with and why?

A: There are many artist I would love too collaborate with! Two of them sadly have passed! R.I.P. but as an independent and just starting out, I shoot for the possible scenario. I don’t expect too collaborate with top notch artists like drake, future, or metro. I try to stay with other producers at my level and vibe with them. Hopefully one day I see my self collaborating with a top notch artist but for right now, i rather build from the bottom with other people who are at the bottom.

Q: Can you share a time when you collaborated with other musicians to create a unique sound?

A: There’s this guy I have been working heavily with on my music. His name is Benjamin but he goes by Benstabeats. I have an unreleased tracked called “insane” that I plan on releasing soon. HE SPICED IT ALL THE WAY UP! Best track we ever made together. We bring the sad vibes HARD!

Q: How do you feel the internet has impacted the music business?

A: The internet is big on the music scene. I find it crazy all you have too do is make a dance or video too your song on tik tok and bam, It’s viral !

Q: As a musician, what methods do you use to stay up-to-date on industry trends and improve your craft?

A: I really I don’t play into the industry trends. I don’t let nothing like that change my style. I choose too stay original. I’d throw in a lil' change like maybe a new melodic trend or percussion trend.

Q: What can your fans expect next ?

A: I have two upcoming singles coming out. One July 26th called "Toxic" and another called "Demons" August 9th, Also I'm working on a project for the fall. And will be releasing Oct 1st.
